Financing a Just Transition in the Plastic Value Chain

The Circulate Initiative’s Senior Director of Finance and Operations, Khunapong Khunaraksa, spoke on the panel of the “Financing a Just Transition in the Plastic Value Chain” webinar, co-hosted by the Global Partnership on Plastic Pollution and Marine Litter, GRID-Arendal, and the International Alliance of Waste Pickers.

Through case studies from Brazil, India, and South Africa, the event explored financial solutions for a just transition in the plastics economy, with a focus on the informal waste sector, and highlighted key financing mechanisms to bridge funding gaps for informal waste workers.
