Madhu leads the Responsible Sourcing Initiative, a multi-year program addressing human rights challenges in recycling value chains and advancing responsibly sourced recycled materials.
Madhu has over 12 years of experience in the social impact sector, focusing primarily on climate action.
Previously, Madhu served as Director, Climate and Sustainability at Social Alpha, where she incubated and supported the scaling of early-stage startups in waste management and processing. She also built collaborative initiatives for venture acceleration, establishing key partnerships to advance an inclusive circular economy in India. As State Coordinator, Karnataka at Climate Parliament, Madhu worked closely with the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, supporting a network of legislators and members of parliament to promote low carbon pathways. In this role, she designed and facilitated policy dialogues both within India and at international parliamentary forums, engaging MPs from the United Kingdom, Germany, Jordan, and the United States, among others.
Madhu holds a Master of Science in Natural Resources Management from Teri School of Advanced Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, and Zoology from Mount Carmel College, India.
