Sonia leads the Africa projects of the Responsible Sourcing Initiative, a multi-year program addressing human rights challenges in recycling value chains and advancing responsibly sourced recycled materials.

With over 15 years of diverse experience spanning healthcare, education, and the circular economy, Sonia is an innovative leader dedicated to creating lasting social impact on the African continent and beyond.

Prior to joining The Circulate Initiative, she served as Country CEO of Mr. Green Africa – the first waste management company in Africa to achieve B Corp certification. She is the founder of three ventures: The MYne Project, ENDoW, and The African Dream (TAD) Solutions. A testament to her commitment and influence, Sonia was selected as a 2019 Obama Leaders: Africa Fellow, joining a distinguished network of leaders shaping the future of sustainable development on the continent.

Sonia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Principia College, United States.
