Cities on the Frontline Webinar

Hosted by Resilient Cities Network as a collaboration between Urban Ocean partners – The Circulate Initiative, Resilient Cities Network, and the University of Georgia New Materials Institute – this session, titled “Waste’s Invisible Workforce,” explored how cities can better engage and integrate informal waste workers.

Responsible Sourcing Initiative Director, Madhu Narayan, joined as a speaker on the panel to share learnings from The Circulate Initiative’s Harmonized Responsible Sourcing Framework for Recycled Materials (Harmonized Framework) and discussed how cities can use the Harmonized Framework to improve waste management and the living conditions of the informal waste workers who sustain it.
