Communications Associate, Responsible Sourcing Initiative

Rakshanda coordinates communications, content, and stakeholder engagement for the Responsible Sourcing Initiative, a multi-year program addressing human rights challenges in recycling value chains and advancing responsibly sourced recycled materials.

With over seven years of experience in sustainability communications, she brings a distinctive blend of strategic storytelling and on-the-ground perspective. Before joining The Circulate Initiative, Rakshanda worked as Communications Officer at the Organic Cotton Accelerator, where she developed and executed multimedia campaigns and events amplifying the voices of over one million cotton farmers across India, Pakistan, and Türkiye.

Earlier in her career, Rakshanda built communications strategies for various international and regional organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières South Asia, Tapas Foundation, LedBy Foundation, and Project EduAccess, where she helped launch initiatives on health, gender equality, education access, and social inclusion across South Asia.

Rakshanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Political Science from the University of Delhi, India, and a CIPR Specialist Diploma in Digital Communication from PR Academy, United Kingdom.
